A cycle sportive which takes place around the pituresque Loch Ness. The charitable cycle seeing hundreds of cyclists taking on the 66 mile (106 km) route on traffic free roads. The round trip starts and finishes on the doorstep of Torvean Caravan Park, Inverness.
The cycle begins by the riverside at Bught Park, Inverness and finishing by Eden Court, Inverness. Cyclists will follow the A82, next to Torvean Caravan Park, west to Fort Augustus, passing through Drumnadrochit and Invermoriston, arriving in Fort Augustus. The return route then continues via South Loch Ness on the B862/B852.
A key point for cyclists is 'The King of the Mountain' stage, which is a 4.8 mile (7.72 km) climb gaining 380 m in height with a gradient reaching 12% at times.
